the actress is bone thin

They had to get a thin actress for the role. I actually liked this film, although some parts were predicable. I think it needed to be a series or three parts, because it needed a bit more character development. I just finished watching, so I have to think about it a bit to really assess.

Lily Collins isn't normally that thin. She obviously lost weight for the role. Her willingness to do that made the character far more convincing that she would be at her normal weight.
