Girlie Soap Opera Masquerading as a Crime Drama

This review said it all. I made half way through episode 2 until the owners son (cuck) says to Piper how much he admired her when he was a little girl. And he(she) wants to BE like her. Puke. Please.

"This show wants to be a lot of things (behind-the-scenes drama, white- collar romance, mystery, legal procedural), and it might succeed at some of those if it weren't so dedicated to being a laughable soap -- and a girlie one at that. What do I mean by "girlie"? I mean that every woman on this show is self-empowered, while every guy on this show is either a wimp, a schemer, a liar, and/or is trying to figure out how to get the women to give him something.

It's a feminist's dream, at the expense of any believability whatsoever. The only even remotely redeeming factor is that the mystery is actually pretty good. Unfortunately you have to wade through a lot of raw sewage to watch it. Not worth it for me."

In other words: "TOO MUCH raw feminist sewage."

I missed the show last week. I loved Piper Perabo in Covert Affairs and had wanted to give it a go. I checked in with IMDB and saw all the terrible things written so I skipped watching it on demand. I tuned in tonight and thought the premise was interesting and also am aware that it can be difficult for a pilot (first few episodes as some things take development) to establish characters and plot lines. I wondered why there's so many naysayers. Are all these negative comments posted by the friends and family of the shows competition Chicago Med? Are they trying to kill this board so the viewers get turned off to the whole experience? Are they trying to redirect us to a different show? No, it's not the best show I'm watching and not my usual guilty pleasures but it wasn't as bad as I had been led to believe. I use my intelligence during the day and just choose to be entertained at night. This show was entertaining and I didn't see it being a feminist vehicle. I may be in the minority but that's the point of having choices. I think that il choose to tune in again and give it a fair shot before condemning it.

The pilot seems OK. I got part way through the second episode and saw the FemiNazi agenda all too clearly.

All the females were AMAZING Mary Sues..even the former hooker who had contacts in the NSA. The Alpha female was predatory to the point of disgusting. If she had been a man the network phones would have caught fire!!!

All the men were extremely weak creatures (or whores) driven ONLY by their emotions. Disgusting really. I can overlook a LOT of crap until it becomes unbearable like this show. I will NEVER watch another minute.

EVERYbody has access to watch both shows that come on at the same time via DVR or the internet. Nobody from Chicago Med is dissing this show. This show sux all on its own just fine!!!

I watched the first 2 episodes last night, it seems to be a good idea buried in a pile of feminazi crap. What a wasted opportunity, and Daniel Sunjata deserves so much better.

I'm a woman and I'm really sick of the anti-male prejudice displayed in almost every movie & tv show made these days. There's no alternative.

So this is an anti-male show? You mean it is sexist?

You had no problem with the Pilot.
Then you read a review from a nobody from Texas.
THEN you suddenly starting seeing what HE saw.
And now you've decided that the show is total crap.

FemiNazi agenda? REALLY?

This is a term popularized by Rush Limbaugh, a renowned jackass, who defined the term as meaning "radical feminists whose objective is to see that there are as many abortions as possible."

And an online definition further explains that FemiNazis believe that all men are idiots, and that wearing a bra is a symbol of oppression. Is that REALLY what Notorious is all about?

IMHO, this is the #1 problem in this country. Too many intellectual wannabes parroting trumped-up insults that they do not even understand.

There's an audience for everything.
If all we had to watch was what you liked, what a sad boring world it would be.
