(SPOILERS) I Really Enjoyed It

I binged it when it came out and I just binged it again 3 years later. I love Westerns and I thought this was a great Western series. The final shootout scene is pretty unbelievable but it still was cool as Hell. 30 men all in a group would have been wiped out especially the leader. Even if the woman couldn't aim well they'd hit someone or a horse.

Then Roy Good not getting the girl in the end kinda sucked. They both loved each other but the sheriff ends up with her because he liked her first? Could have easily went and visited his brother and came back or took her and the kid to Cali.

This is a great show and a great Western. I agree that the final shootout was unbelievable. The men lasted too long, yes, but they also would have scattered and sought cover two seconds after the ladies opened up on them. The women also were way too coordinated and capable for barely being able to hold the guns a couple hours ago. Whitey just walking into the middle of the street drove me nuts (fortifying was his idea in the first place). And prior to the assault Frank's guys took out all the Buffalo Soldiers way too easily with almost no casualties.

Other than that final battle, though, the series was sharp stuff.

I was okay with Roy not "getting the girl". California was a longer way then than it is now. Who knows if Roy will even make it back? If he does, it could be years. I get it. Plus, that's kinda the way Westerns go; there's always that tinge of melancholy.
