I enjoy the show since I'm an avid investigator myself but I wish they wouldn't say what they think each EVP says when it sounds absolutely nothing like what they claim it said. 90 percent of the EVPs they capture sound nothing like what they claim it's saying. They matrix their audio so bad.
They are bad and why is it every episode has a "spirit" saying one or both of their names, it's like they have them trained!
I think they like to spell out what the noises are saying as a means of "power of suggestion" it is hard not to hear the words after that even if you still realize that what they are playing you is usually noise.
Sometimes a movie or tv show plot is so stupid that only the stupid can understand it.
Fair enough, but does it happen every investigation? I have watched all the GAC episodes and the amount of times their names have been called out are quite low and that is over all of their seasons, Nick and Katrina get it every episode.

Spirits calling someone's name is *somewhat* common but absolutely not every investigation. We have had it happen about 3 times in the last 12 investigations (one per month).
We had it twice at one location and once at another one.
Agreed. That Genbox or whatever is also throws me off because it sounds like there are voices all the time and then when they here something I don't hear it.
Hardest thing to hear on the show; and yes, same as on GA...when they tell you what the EVP says before you hear it, it's a power of suggestion thing that we then "hear" it. At least the Spirit Box thing on GA was easier to hear....is there a usage right that GA has their equipment, and PL can't use the same thing? I don't mind different equipment, but all I hear is hollow echoing most of the time....
True. The box that Nick is using sounds like a guitar amp with the reverb 100% dialed up with someone tapping it constantly to where it is always making "echo-like" noises. I wish the "science" behind that equipment was explained by him.
I want to preface this by saying, I'm a skeptic, but shows like this entertain me more than practically every single horror or suspense movie. And no I can't explain everything that goes on on the show which I think draws me into more. The curiosity, the desire for a realm outside ours. I don't disagree with you here. I think all the shows do that. I understand it probably takes time to train your ears what to listen for but I think to myself, Come on, with some of this sh**. But you guys saying about them "always" getting EVPs and evidence, etc.. You know these episodes aren't the only investigations they do, right? I bet even saying half of their investigations they get legit evidence is BS.
When the camera guy says he sees something and they play what supposedly was caught on video when he saw it, I never see what the hell they're talking about. And I have played clips over and over and over...still can't see anything.
I watched 4 shows. Utter crap, they are messing with the audio and you don't need any sophisticated software, you only need good headphones and a quality audio source, I watched it on a PC. The GEO Box ... WTH?! ... this is the least sophisticated item. With all the technology available today, the echo and background audio garbage can be filtered out. This is an intentional masking of the fake responses they claim to receive.
On a different note ... As for Zak, there has only been 1 show, of all seasons, that has caught, IMO, actual activity. So I have to give GA a +1.
The Oliver House geophone spirit check was like that tonight. I'm not hearing squat yet they tell me they heard a response in the child's room, with their guide encouraged to hear it, too.
