It's hard enough to hide a blue police box….do they think no one is going to stumble over, much less notice a big round metal…thing…wrapped in two tire-like thingies? Really? It's not like they can pick it up and hide it?

Especially when the Hindenburg flies directly over it with the time machine in clear view of everyone on board when it arrived from the future & then 3 people fall out of it. Like they say on MNF- C'Mon Man!

haha that's one of those tropes in time travel things that you have to just go with. They always manage to land in an open area where no one is around to see, instead of materializing inside a mountain and they all die
