It does make you wonder what the NBC pitch meetings are like. It's almost like the people who approve the shows are a completely different group than the ones deciding whether to keep the shows, and the two groups hate each other.

Yes, I remember cases where networks try their best to kill shows. Does anybody remember COMMANDER IN CHIEF? The network fired the show's entire programming staff and sent the show into a tailspin, and then went "Oh dear, it didn't catch on"
