...have a second crew available, who could go back and clean things up? They could just follow specific instructions from the original three, now that they know what Flynn plans to do with the Hindenburg.

Looking forward to this season.

Just have them get to the field early and have Flynn's guys arrested. Or kill them.

Or go back to when the "bad guy" was a kid and kill him. Or, make him paralyzed from the waist down. Would do the same thing.

Take the 2nd pod back two days, and prevent the initial theft. Beef up lab security, disable the pod (oops, make that all THREE pods) by removing some vital plug-in module, and problem solved. No theft, dead bad guys, and the whole series disappears in a puff of logic. :)

They were not exactly prepared to have to go after someone to begin with, much less have another three qualified people to cleanup. And having too many people screwing with the timeline, means....it gets even more screwed up.
