one of the coolest aspects to me is that a BLAck guy is going back in time
I'm not sure if that comment was blatant race-baiting, but it appears to have worked.
Forget about traveling back in time, a person of color would still run into issues - randomly traveling around this country - today. - Seriously.
The fact that some users on this message board would rather just get rid of the, "black guy," and pretend like, "out of sight, out of mind," in regards to what a person of color may experience differently... is thoroughly telling to our society's current level of intelligence and maturity.
It's like some of us are comparing this to out and out gore, or pornography... that we must cringe, or hide our eyes from any potential issues that, "a black guy," may face.
Regardless of whether we believe the show has an agenda... is it historically something that may have occurred in the 1930's, to a person of color... or not?
We then need to individually ask ourselves; is what we're arguing, part of the solution, or part of a larger issue, that continues to exist between races, today?
Is it really plausible or legitimate to just get rid of, "the black guy," whether it be in the show or in society?
But no, we just want to pretend like, "the black guy," doesn't exist, lest we have to see what unjust experiences he may become victim to.
Also, why even get defensive or feel guilty about unjust treatment that you didn't personally contribute to? - Unless you somehow still believe in inequality, today.
If we can't even get beyond our own cringe-worthy hysteria towards the life experiences of other races... is it really the show's fault that we choose to remain such insensitive savages?
