This got so much better with ep. 2 !!

Suddenly I find that I am interested in the characters, not just the one trick pony of a female pitcher.

I am not a fan of flashbacks, but they are doing it well, without needing to say "14 years ago" on the screen.

I am enjoying the appearances of "real" baseball/sports people and picking them out from the actors. Feel free to use more Katie Nolan, guys!

Keep on getting even better!

I loved both the pilot and the 2nd episode. Would this ever happen in real life? Who cares, they took the excitement of Mo'Nee Davis in the Little League World Series a couple of years ago and ran with it. By the way, I'm a male that played baseball up to my senior year in high school and my son just finished doing the same so I know the game and appreciate the "sanctity" of it. I hope it makes it as it has become my favorite show of the new TV season.....Go Kylie Bunbury, you are knocking it out of the park!

The second episode got much worse in my opinion.

The flashbacks were a lazy way to add characterization and exposition.

I would have preferred they not do a time jump one or two years forward as well. I wanted to learn more about the father's accident and how Ginny adjusted to the players. Suddenly, they just show her getting along with the gang whereas in episode 1 she only had two comrades on the team: her childhood buddy and the umpire.

Lots of missed opportunities and pedestrian storytelling.
