Early in the pilot... In the background you can hear them say she is the first professional female athlete to play in one of the four major national sports. WRONG!!!!! Pitch has failed miserably. Their is a legit real story about the first woman to ever play for a major American professional sports team. Why not tell that? Why tell an impossible tale about the 5th most played sport in America. Tell a real story... One about Manon Rhéaume, the first woman to signed by a major profession sports team. I know because I watched her play back in 1992 for the Tampa Bay Lightning. She was an amazing goaltender that signed a two year free agent contract with TB.

Whoever green lite this series... Pitch... Needs to be fired immediately. It's a terribly dumb idea...

Think about it... Your target audencie for this show is never going to buy into this
-women- don't watch or care about baseball in large enough numbers
-baseball fans- the average baseball fan is literally over the age of 40 and predominately male... A demographic that will never watch a female centric baseball show.
-men- baseball is the 7th most popular sport in the key demographic for advertises of 18-35

Again. How the frick did someone waste money on a show that should never of even had a pilot episode let alone a series!

Pitch is supposed to be a fiction - not a biography. The creators want to come up with their own storylines instead of being hemmed in by a true story.

I give the network an A for at least coming up with an original concept instead of the tired cop, hospital or lawyer shows which are done to death.

Serial dramas like cop/lawyer/Doctor shows work.

Kudos for the "attempt" at something new...

But I call it how I see it. No matter how new it is... A pile of crap is a pile of crap.

This is series doesn't even have a chance of being renewed...

Even though I consider the concept to be interesting, I don't believe the writing for the show is good. It seemed predictable. Maybe more twists. Less baseball scenes, more dramatic scenes. There has to be more shown than a stoic woman baseball player against sexist men. I'm convinced Shonda Rhimes could have worked her magic on this show.

And I agree that the show will probably be canceled.

if it was a shonda rhimes show, ginny would have been *beep* one of her team mates in the first 30 minutes and would have rotated through the lineup the rest of the season.

Hungh? Not everyone is a cop or doctor and those shows do very well. Also, I don't think this show was produced thinking they'd go after the make demographic but women of all ethnicities and we outnumber y'all. Add in open-minded men and the number goes up. By the way, women amount to 35% of all baseball fans. That's 30 million and a sizable demographic.

Rheaume only played in exhibition games.

Never said she played in regular season games. She just got closer to playing in a regular season for one of the big 5 sports than any female ever.

As soon as I seen previews for this show,I said it won't last 2 seasons,men will not watch,which is half the audience right there,and the premise is a joke to begin with.

2 questions:
1)are you aware that Rheaume only played in exhibition games and therefore did NOT play in any official game? Meaning she was not the first woman to play in any of the big professional leagues!
2)do you speak and write English, as well? If you did, it would make life so much easier for everyone on this board if you could please use it!
