Too over dramatic and ham fisted

The premise for this sounded great, but the entire time they surround her with these mustache twirling 1 dimensional misogynists, and it just came off as corny. Real world bigotry is nuanced and complicated, except in the swamps of Louisiana. And a lot of this is completely unrealistic. In the beginning there's the news anchor song "so for all of you who are angry a woman is playing baseball..." Straw man fallacy much? Almost nobody would be upset. Skeptical? Well obviously. But angry? Not even 1% of the population is that 1 dimensional. The pitcher she's replacing has soap opera tier characterization. A lot of the acting sucks too.

You sound fun

Get a grip. They have absolutely nailed the way the idiotic media would treat this. Look at how the media treats people who say the new ghost busters or the new star wars are garbage. You're an angry sexist for not liking something poorly made. Of course an anchor would say that.

Can't tell if troll or not.

And here you are tuning in week after week after week.

Blah blah blah.

It's a soap opera with baseball as the backdrop, just like Dallas was a soap opera with the oil business as a backdrop. If you look at it that way it's not bad.

tjk, Micky freaking loves the show and can't get enough of it. Don't feed the troll.

He wants to grow up to be just like the main character. Boobs and all.

And he can.
