Trade deadline twist
So did I misunderstand, or was the twist that an unknown center fielder whom we've never seen on the show before was traded to the Angels instead of Blip Sanders?

shareI was confused too, it sounded like they picked up Hale a CF but then Blip survived the trade deadline...
I hope they dont trade Lawson, Mark Paul Gosslar really ties the show together and it wouldnt be the same without him.
Kinda bummed Hunter got traded, i was starting to like him.
Ginny sure looked surprised when hunter was traded instead of blip.
shareWasn't it Tommy Miller, the other pitcher, that got traded? The one that was friends with Butch and went for a bleachers run with her?
shareYes, Tommy was the one who was gone at the end of the episode. Butch (the old guy) was traded earlier, then after a series of moves, ended up back with the Padres. After they welcomed Butch back, it was revealed that Tommy was gone.
shareI was confused as well. So was it the backup OF traded; not sure he'd have much value.
Since it seemed pretty hard to get they wanted, I found it unlikely they could make the deal without Blip or someone pretty good (especially if they had to cut payroll).

Cubs also send Butch Hunter back to the Padres
