Big fan

This show had me from the start. And it only gets better. Good cast and characters, well acted. I like seeing how Ginny gets through the day, with all the tension and drama. And how conflicted she is.
And how do you keep that confidence? I watched a top American figure skater do miserable a few months ago. She took some time off, and came back strong for the short program. Then blew the long. She took more time off to practice, and focus. In Paris, she missed 2 of the 7 elements. 2 jumps with zero points. It's not like she's forgotten how to skate - it's confidence. (she 'popped' both jumps - where you start the jump, but your mind suddenly screams NO - and your leg pops out to stop the rotation. It's a reaction - not a conscious decision). Gracie has to figure out how to get it together, and beyond her coach, there is no road map!
Like with a pitcher, and all the things that happen between the wind-up and the plate. It's surely a mental game! And to be young, black, female, and good looking - in a man's world - has to be hard on the soul!

I'm a big fan of the show from the beginning.
I love the possibility for the future girls.
Mon'e Davis captured the imagination of little girls and those of us that are still little girls in our hearts.
Any way Alex Rodriguez is also a big fan. He said so on Live with Kelly he said he has daughters and he hopes that this can happen in real life.
I love it the other side that it's not easy and it's not a fairytale it's also miserable.

We used to have this posted on the webpage for my son's high school team. It just shows how tough it is to get into the bigs.

Less than eleven in 100, or about 10.5 percent, of NCAA senior male baseball players will get drafted by a Major League Baseball (MLB) team. Approximately one in 200, or approximately 0.5 percent of high school senior boys playing interscholastic baseball will eventually be drafted by an MLB team.

.....then take it one step further. One in seven drafted will ever see a single day's play in the Majors.
