And made cubs win world series like in real life. But don't know ow they would have incorporated him in every episode so I knew the trade wasn't going to happen.
**Christ died for your sins, was buried and rose on the 3rd day. Turn away from sin and to Christ**
I thought last night was suppose to be season finale so I thought he'd get traded....kiss Ginny and fall in love with her, then show him celebrating with World Series Trophy after Cubs won it in Cleveland in Game 7 and Ginny is in attendance cheering him and kissing him.
Then for season 2 it's revealed he retired after winning that title and he becomes one of the coaches for the Padres so he stays on cast.

As a Cubs Fan, that would of been something sweet to see!

There's still one more new episode and there haven't been any announcements about Full Season Pick Ups, Renewals or Cancellations at Fox yet. But two weeks ago Mark Paul G tweeted this: Mark-Paul GosselaarVerified account @DamnTurtle1 we're not getting cancelled. Enjoy the first season, cuz there will be a second. #Pitch
However, Pitch is going on Hiatus for another reason. They originally filmed 13 shows'd After next week, 10 will have aired. But in an interview on You Tube, the writers said they scripted an entire season of shows. But Pitch is going away for about 2 1/2 months, being replaced by the series finale episodes of Bones. Once Bones finishes it's run, the Thursday night, 9:00 EST time slot becomes vacant and Pitch should return to the schedule with more new episodes. Usually this is a horrible idea. But this time it isn't. Because when Pitch returns, the baseball season will be resuming and the audience that hasn't discovered Pitch yet will finally have the chance to discover it. They went through all sorts of obstacles when it came to Major League Baseball licensing and Fox also carries the weekly Saturday games. Two more reasons why they'd want to keep the show in their Prime Time line up - cross promotion. During the hiatus, they should also air the 10 episodes of Pitch on the Major League Baseball Network. The audience there is the one that needs to discover the show.
Now about the trade. The scenario should've been handles differently. Mike should've been traded to the Cubs as the episode ended. Then next week, we see him in Chicago at the team physican's office. He undergoes the required team physical - but fails because of his back and knees. The trade's then voided, Lawson's returned to the Padres and the Cubs get their prospects back.
Funny how the show chose the Cubs a team that ended up winning te WS for real. I am sure the writers thought about the Giants as well. They might or might not have done it different if they knew the results now. Next season on the show they could mention Mike could have won a ring by now
San Diego would've NEVER considered trading Mike Lawson to the San Francisco Giants and Lawson knew better than to even ask. Both teams are in the same division, trying to clinch a play-off spot and there's no way he would've ever been traded to a division rival.
It was about Lawson winning a ring and not about the team or the Padres franchise. So he goes where he had a better chance. Doesn't matter the division or conference
It's hardly as if the Cubs weren't expected to win the WS this year, so the GM's remark about Lawson's ring size was spot on whatever happened.
If we've got baseball fans pointing out the potential trademark infringement on the name Screwgie, you would have heard a lot more about trading a star player to a division rival while still mathematically in the hunt for a postseason berth.
