Well, that was a pointless conclusion/cliffhanger...
So, the most "famous" woman in ...San Diego (to say in the "World" is plain ridiculous) was seeing her father's ghost guiding her (pushing her more like it) so to succeed in Baseball's men league.
(Her dad BTW died in a traffic accident, caused by her best friend (another pointless plot element), because he was an idiot (or proud?) to wear his seatbelt).
That supposedly is a ...victory for women everywhere despite the fact that women dominate many aspects of the political, professional, scientific, artistic and of course sports world(s) since ..well..ever.
Young girls everywhere were idolizing her, want to be like her, throwing away their youth and their teenage years and fun and education and friends, so to master the "spin-throw" or the "curved-throw" of a small ball.
Anyway, PITCH later become more of a soap-opera, with some romances that went nowhere, a brother con-man who just wanted to get money for his famous sister and lots of characters who made an appearance, without any character development whatsoever.
And where all these lead to?
Well...nowhere. The famous girl injured herself because she was stubborn and the fairytale, if any, ends here.
The people around her follow their own path. Her agent left. Her brother. Mike went back to his wife. Blip has his personal problems to deal with. And...well...who cares?
I don't know if there will be a 2nd season. If there isn't ...well..here 400' we aren't taking back.
If there is...again...I don't really care. They probably are going to tell "it was a minor injury" and yada-yada-yada, and Ginny will call Amelia to say she is sorry and...and..what? How can this be evolved in any way? It didn't have a solid premise. Just the idea of a premise that went South with poor and hasty writing.
