Kylie is black/white. Her character is black. Her character's parents are black. Her character's brother is black. Her character's childhood self is black. But magically her character grew up and transformed into a biracial black/white woman. Casting directors - Please stop doing this. It is annoying and ridiculous.
Perhaps if this was 'The Wood' where the female character went from dark skinned from adolescence to HS to lighter skinned as an adult. Or is like a situation of My Wife and Kids with Claire, I'd get your point. But, this isn't. Young Ginny looks very similar to adult Ginny and many, including myself, did not know that until we looked her up ourselves and/or were told. I'd never guess she was bi-racial because I played basketball with a black woman who was lighter than Kylie with similar hair texture whose bio parents are blackity black black black. The test I usually give is: if you saw her on the street, would you think she was mixed based off of her parents solely alone. IF the answer is no, this is where keeping it real goes wrong.
I had another classmate where I didn't know he was biracial until he casually mentioned having a white mother. Or the rapper J.Cole and the actress Jesse Williams. Being super light or even other features, such as hair and so forth aren't necessarily indicators that someone's paren't are different races. What if this person isn't stereotypically bi-racial looking--would it be okay then?
I may be Kylie's complexion or somewhat darker, but my twi and parents have all similar complexion where as my older sister is darker skinned.
Generally speaking, I get your point: stop casting bi-racial (or light skinned women) in everything as darker skinned black women don't exist. Like, I get that, but I think you swerved out of the lane with this one. There is no way that anyone who doesn't know Kylie racial background would argue that the casting choices weren't on point with the parents and young Ginny. Even though Will does stick out a bit, it's not even unrealistic for siblings to have a noticeable complexion difference either.
"And even with Will dead, the love triangle is not over."
Nori is an adorable child, but I been had this profile pic before Kanye's coon behavior. However, your observation and it's implication doesn't discredit my statement.

Wow... just because someone looks BIRACIAL, doesn't mean they are. It just so happen that this actress is, but to go by looks is just ridiculous . What if person parents who are both African but have a light complexion? That shouldn't take away from fact they're black! You sound ridiculous!
ππππ€£ I'm getting a kick out of this post just for its stupidity. Oh and let's not forget about people who have "black" parents but are born looking caucasian.... should they be casted with caucasian parents... but oh since you wanna be so damn technical, stop saying black because that not even a race ππ€£π
