Logic of the points system
10 points for Adults
20 for babies
50 for elderly
They are giving the most points for the two groups who cant add to the population.

they are the least productive parts of society. babies have the potential to be productive later so they are worth less than the elderly who have served their purpose and are only a drain.
shareDon't forget, the original scoring system was "changed" for that year of the race (in DR2000). In DR2050, there's no mention of a scoring system change, and there's only the mention of that particular race being the 5th one thus far.
