This could be good if...


It cut the laugh track and the lazy shots a millennials. I'm a millennial and there's a good amount to make fun of but the way this show goes about it is just too on the nose and not subtle or smart at all (going by the trailer). As a previous post points out, this is the kind of thing Joel would make fun of on Community or The Soul. Also, the laugh track died. Shows without one waste less time telling the audience when to laugh and fit more jokes in. But I guess if the point of the show is that older generations are better then an antiquated format is suitable. I might watch an episode because I do love Joel McHale but I don't think it'll be as nuanced/smart/funny as most of the stuff I love him for.

I think the bartender could really be a good character. And I know plenty of millennials who are on their phones so much they are on the verge of needing intravenous feeding.

I assisted with a Girl Scout overnight once and one of the moms put up a tent in the lodge because she was that afraid someone would let a bug in. People like her popped into my head all during the show.
