Lotta Booty Hurt Millennials

What a surprise. They spend 65% of their waking time being offended and triggered.

I DON'T BELIEVE IN CASUAL SEX. I ALWAYS WEAR A TIE.

I totally agree. I think this is going to be one of those rare shows that actually is geared to older people. It has tons of potential.

reply

Agreed.

But 65%? How do they fit in the time to take selfies and tweet each other about the Kardashians? Or are they so technically proficient they can be perennially butt-hurt and take pics of themselves doing nothing at the same time?

Never has a generation spent so much time producing absolutely so little, but complaint. Then they want more government to get them out of the problems (debt) that government created in the first place.

reply

Yes, but IMDB users in their 20s gave it the highest rating.

Females rated it lowest, as did the sole snowflake reviewer.

I'm not sure if old people understand our generation at all. Sure we do a lot of silly things, but I know that -at least for my group of friends- we love the outdoors and work hard. Idk... this show seems like a hit and a miss. As a millennial I wanted to like the show, but I can't relate to these clueless millennials that are portrayed at all.

reply

I agree with this. I could not relate to the millennial characters at all. Maybe because I'm on the older end of the generation, but I certainly take my job seriously and don't act like a whiny, immature teen.

Jesus, I may write an essay tomorrow titled " Millennials: They Are US and We Were Them."
But it's late and Im burdened mentally trying to figure out what a "Snowflake Reviewer" is.

I hope you write that, max.

I agree, every generation has a few years of painfully struggling with entry-level jobs, financial insecurity, and learning to shoulder the responsibilities of adult life. And most of us try to wring as much fun as we can from the dimming freedom and craziness of the late teens and early twenties. Or we ought to.

Similarly, as we age, a lot of us look at the most recent generation doing just that, and claim, ridiculously, that WE were never such flakes. False, of course.

On the reverse side, the members of the former "new" generation will, as we all do, gradually begin to realize that they are no longer the trendy crowd, and are losing the ability to relate to the newest music, fashion, technology, mindset, and more. It happens in every cycle.

I think this show has the potential of helping older and younger generations understand each others' struggles, and view the others with greater empathy.
