How I met your Mother bar?

Would make sense as both are CBS. The bar sure looks familiar to me.

Saw that too. The "How I Met Your Mother" bar set, the "Dads" workplace set. Both thinly redressed. Probably both left over on the same lot. Just like how the "Odd Couple" apartment set is Fraiser's old place.

Everything is recycled in these low-bar "sitcoms" churned out by the meat grinder.
Recycle old sets and scripts from cancelled series.
In this case it's retool some stale jokes to punch at Millennials, then retool some more to punch at Gen-Xers. Oh, Millennials do things so weird all ChatSnappy and Tindery and are flabbergasted by printed maps. Oh, Gen-Xers are grandpas stuck in Geocities-era internets and can't figure out texting and wonder what happened to Lycos. What a hoot!
"Hoot" as in lazy, unimaginative, reaching-for-the-ground formulaic humor.

Oh yeah, add Stephen Fry for some reason. Waste of talent, that casting. Heck it's practically a waste of Joel McHale. But I suppose folks gotta eat or whatever. Honestly they could've cast nobodies in both those roles and used the extra cash to hire clever writers.

It's probably the curse of the "Dads" set. That same banality doomed "Dads" quickly, despite the best efforts of the cast.

It's completely different than HIMYM's bar. It's more like the bar in The Odd Couple. Same general layout of that bar as well.

I don't know about "completely different," I thought the same thing when I was watching (and I just happened to be watching HIMYM yesterday).

I 4/4 don't care.
schlongbottom thinks you're a loser.
Gary Oldman rides the diversity elephant.

Doesn't look particularly like the HIMYM bar to me. I think the posters in this thread are confusing staging conventions with set similarities. Bars in sitcoms are staged to be entered from the left or left-center with the bar to right of the stage.

Condo apartments staging has the entrance from the left with the kitchen to the left and a raised level back of set (the actors need to be seen).

It looks like it to me! They switched the entrance and the bathroom and moved the back wall up a bit but the booths and bar are exactly the same.
