How would he know about - spoilers

How would he know about Game of Thrones? That is the last thing I thought he'd be up on.

Just bad writing. If you check the writers' credits, most of them have thin resumes, chiefly writing kid shows. The writing on this show is insipid, and make the series a waste of some fine acting talent...referring to McHale and Fry, of course.

I had not looked at the writing credits, but that would make sense because most kids shows now are unbelievably insipid to the point that even the kids can't stand them.

Read the books?

Maybe, but to me, it still doesn't seem like his style.

Maybe the Millennials told him.

Lots of down time traveling. Books and binge watching on the plane, airports, hotels, etc. But valid observation though.

Being 200 years old myself, I am not immune to modern culture. I may look into something just to see what it's about.

Is Game of Thrones the one where they kill zombies or make meth?

That's been my point. They repeatedly have things that simply do not match the character in the writing. I posted on another thread that if he is a journalist, his magazine would demand that he have access to technology to submit his column and photos. Even if he had support staff, he would have to know how to use the technology in case something happened.
Also, if he had a support staff, where are they? They brought him in, but not the staff? And if he had a support staff doing all that work for him, how much actual "sporting" did he do?
Seriously, for a man that has traveled the world "roughing it", he isn't very adept at anything that would be common in the "wild".
