Where in the Chicago area

Could they go camping as in "The Mediocre Outdoors"
They killed wildlife for food.
They cut down trees for shelter.
They were within walking distance of a hotel/lodge.
Coyotes/wolves were howling.

In my universe Rangers would be on my as..case in a minuet.

There's plenty of woods within a three-hour drive of Chicago. Given the lodge, I will guess the intended setting was in Wisconsin.

reply

Are there rattle snakes Wisconsin?

reply

Yep. I don't know if they are as big as that one though. I am pretty sure the writers were more concerned humorous situations than geographical or faunal accuracy.

reply

I'll give you the woods and the lodge.
Heck..I'll even give you coyotes. (They've introduced them into my region recently.)
But I can't think of any public land where you can kill wild life and cut down trees for shelter without park rangers showing up.
Given that I'm talking about "within a three-hour drive of Chicago"

Again, I am pretty sure the writers were thinking about laughs, not accuracy.

On second watching, Brooke managed to get red blood out of a snake.

It's a fvcking sitcom not an HBO documentary. Suspend disbelief or move on, pretty simple.
