forgetting about their savagery, superstitions and violent tendencies.
they are not human rights champions as leftists like to think, they were each others throats most of the time.
and what the hell about 'they were here first'
nobody called first dibs on land thousands of years ago. everybody took it with power they had.

Did you watch the same movie I did? Because I remember a scene where a group of enemies ruthlessly slaughters a man and scalps him in front of his wife and children, and then kills all the children. I don't think they were glossing over their violent tendencies.
