**SPOILERS** section of this movie's IMDB Page ***YES SPOILERS HERE***

Well, the budget is $500K, which doesn't get my hopes up. The makeup is crucial (in my mind) to delivering the sort of vileness these stories deserve. Can $500K do that? With a decent story? & Set design/acting/etc., etc.?

However the spoiler page has me intrigued in that it seems like something that can bring this story back on track, in a new invigorating way. I mean, NAMED Cenobites, like the Assessor, the Auditor, the Cleaner & the Jury - you can read more of the specifics in the trivia section and what I read has me hopeful! This can be something I'd get into, and for me, it's in the same skin as the original.

Clive isn't really doing much more with this; perhaps a potential reboot I'd read about on FB? Doug's not feeling it (which blows - with a good script he is the persona and voice (even when dropped an octave) of Pin Head.

So, if things are going to change, write something good! Make something cool that can elaborate in an interesting way, what Hellraiser can be. Because, since Hellraiser 3 (which was great until CD player Cenobite and Drill Bit Cenobite were introduced) only like one or 2 of the films after that had anything sort of interesting.

Eh, kind of a rant...

500K is not much. The characters you mentioned sound cool, so hopefully they will add something interesting, but I am not very optimistic.

If they were planning on a legitimate reboot they would be throwing a lot more money at this movie.

Other Recent Reboot Budgets:
Nightmare on Elm Street 2010 = $35M
Friday the 13th 2013 = $19M
Evil Dead 2013 = $17M

Oh definitely, the budget screams "Help Me!"

The pictures loaded on the main page seems to be adding a new direction and interest to the film, however. Since these films (the Successful Hellraisers!!) are so visual, I am interested see if this one can capitalize on that aspect.

I'll keep my expectations down. That usually keeps movie's like this in perspective.

And that's all someone (Directors/Writers/SFX guys/actors) need is an opportunity to ply their trade, and maybe bring something cool to the table. A lot of kick A$$ gems have survived and started peoples careers with stuff like this.

I'll also watch because chances are this won't be formula $h!te that's shoveled into theaters for desperate parents to quell their kids (not that I'm against that at all - I'd do the same if I had kids and I don't prefer movies like that!!) So - we'll see.
