I'm not a big fan of Kevin James, but it seems to me that this show is the same as his previous show, the same dumbass character, held up by the same crutches (supporting characters), just with different names, different job descriptions, different crutches.
I give it till December-ish.

The huge difference here is that the supporting/ensemble cast is way weaker than it was on KOQ.
Arthur, Carrie, Spence, Deacon, etc., all made KOQ way better.
Same show, but with kids.
shareIt seems the KofQ cast are not doing much, they should have just brought KofQ back with Doug and Carrie raising their children. I think only Stiller would likely decline a regular role but he might make recurring appearances. The cast had great chemistry together, instead of making this show which is just a basic copy, they should have revived the original. The original found a huge audience and following in syndication.
I think the show would have been better even if they kept the new premise and new characters but had Leah Remini play his wife. The show is just stale. It just doesn't flow. Very Unnatural acting.

shareI was planning on posting pretty much the same thing as you. It is the same show, except with kids! Fat guy, pretty wife, guy lies to wife every chance he gets, most important thing in his life is food, etc., etc., etc.
