Nice to have a classic style sitcom again

I've been stuck in the 90s for a while now. The only sitcoms I watch are Seinfeld, King of Queens and Raymond.
I tried more modern shows like Modern Family, but couldn't get into it at all. Not funny or entertaining.
I'm glad networks are still giving 90s style sitcoms a chance.

I honestly enjoy both. I'm a big fan of older sitcoms like Raymond and King of Queens, but I also like newer sitcoms like Modern Family or The Middle. Ultimately for me it depends more on the show rather then when it was made. However, I am glad we have a network like CBS that is still willing to try multi-cam sitcoms. Sadly, the multi-cam sitcom has been in decline for years now, so it's good to see a show like Kevin Can Wait show some promise with the format.

I was thinking the same. I miss KoQ and was happy to discover James in a new sitcom. Even tho I don't find it nearly as appealing (yet!) I'll stick with it and give it a chance.

It took me awhile to jump on that 90's bandwagon but the shows you mention are my favorites of that period. Really funny stuff. I still can't bring myself to call those classics, but I get what you're saying. This is a very funny show of that same style and I really hope it lasts.

Well, of course, it all started with the Dick Van Dyke Show. Now that's a classic.

That's one of my favorite sitcoms of all time. Good call

It really Is a good family show. The reviews seem mixed, but hopefully it'll last awhile beyond one season.
