So pathetic. It made me insta hate him and her for putting up with that bs. I stuck it out for the rest of the show but kinda just hate all of them. Won't be tuning back in.

I agree, but both actors involved said this:

Interviewer: You and Alia play boyfriend and girlfriend on the show: Dory and Drew. We're kind of thrown into their relationship at a strange time in it. It seems like they're having some issues.

Alia Shawkat: It's because they don't have a good sex life. Someone today called [the sex scene in the pilot] one of the saddest sex scenes they've ever seen. And I was like, "Well, you obviously haven't been in a lot of relationships."

John Reynolds: It's so sad, but it's so sweet.

All I could think during that scene was that compared to THAT I certainly don't regret any dry spells I've had in my adult life. I don't want to ever have THAT.

The scene made me think that Drew was a homosexual gentleman. He was imagining being with a dude and then climbed atop Dory at the very last second when he was reaching his moment of glory.

I didn't quite understand that scene.
I have been in different relationships before I was married. And I am married for a long time now.
And I've never experienced something like that. So I wasn't sure why
She was just laying there while he was pleasuring himself and then he basically used her to c*m into, Like she was some kind of receptacle. I thought it was awful. She had no pleasure out of it at all. Ugh.
It was awful, weird, pathetic and I don't know what else.
And whether they were having some relationship issues or not. What happened there ought never happen in any relationship.
If a guy has to "get off" then he should go and knock one out in the shower. Not use his partner like some inanimate object.
