Out Lasts Police Academy Franchise

I've got to say it. The 'Fast and Furious' franchise has now overtaken Police Academy as the longest running comedy movie franchise in modern cinematic history.

Fast and Furious is not a comedy. But the longest running comedy franchise is National Lampoons Vacation, which premiered in 1983 and the last sequel was released in 2015

I love fun facts. FnF will end up with 12 movies spanning 24 years. Can anything else beat that?

Not 12 films but franchises have lasted longer than 24 years. This franchise though will never die. Before you know it, Doms son will be leading his crew on globetrotting world saving missions.
