Imagine Romans face if Carter showed up after all these years. I think it would be so worth it.

It won't have the same impact now, without Paul around.

You have a point but I still think it could be good. Like Roman gets himself in a situation where he's by himself with the bad guy, then the bad guys like "I know someone who wants a piece of you way more than I do" then Carter walks in.

In the last movie, they took on nuclear subs and a hacker who could cause havoc on a global scale. At this point, a low level drug kingpin is below their paygrade.
