Ahead by a century
This isn't a comment on the series at all as I just started watching it, but I was really taken out of the moment by hearing The Tragically Hip at the beginning. This isn't a complaint, I just found it kind of weird.
shareYeah, I just couldn't watch the show anymore after s02e07. Everyone is so progressive and politically correct - it really took me out of the series, it wasn't realistic at all!
I watched the first season, and that was it. It just wasn't Anne of Green Gables. If it encouraged anyone to read the books or watch some of the other versions then I will be happy.
shareYeah i agree about the fact that they exagerrated on the fact that everyone seemed to come from the future. It sounds bad to say,but there were "too few racists or sexist people" in the series. But the series is shot very well,the scenario is beautiful. I think season 3 is the worst one in regards of writing. The first two seasons were better.
shareI didn't even get to season 3, season 2 ruined the show for me.
As I said in the next thread, what made the series initially interesting was that it immersed me into that world. The moment that world became incongruous, it stopped being interesting.
