Josie in Season 7

Preface: I'm aware I'm probably over-thinking this more than the writers even.

But Josie popping up in Season 7 makes me think that one of two things happened.

1: To be part of the time travel, Josie had to have been in Riverdale when it happened. Maybe she came back because she heard what was going on and wanted to help? Maybe she'd learned something about her dad's death and came back because of that? Either way, why'd it take her so long to pop up in Season 7, for one episode, and her relationship with the others is completely different? Then she leaves again. And did her memories ever come back?

2: She was transported back in time simply because of being part of the group and Riverdale is in her heart or whatever. But if that's the case, it begs the question of why we didn't see other characters who had previously left town but were still alive.
