Do you think it will be a hit show?

I think the trailer sucks big time, Archie is supposed to be a teen comedy not a teen crime drama, but sometime Archie faces the supernatural, crimes situation, drama and so forth with an element of comedy.

Archie was re-invented in the current years many times, and obviously Archie Comics need to do certain things in order to keep on moving as a company, I may disagree with them Artistically but Business Wise I agree. So the perception of Archie is not like the one of an old fart like me.

However my opinion doesn't matter do you think it will be a hit show?

Teen comedy would never happen. FOX wanted it to be a Supernatural show before it got passed and landed on CW and became a teen soap. CW doesn't do sitcoms.

CW have never really done a proper teen soap in years. I think the last normal one was Carrie Diaries. It could actually go either way. This could appeal to CW's old audience. The audience before CW went with the genre shows. Could also bomb since the audience might not be there anymore. Take note that CW is not using Archie Comics connection in any promo for the show. They're using Gossip Girls/TVD instead. They know the DC crowd would reject it so they tried to keep it away from the Superhero shows(they skew male heavy).

IMO CW want it to skew female to finally have a show that could counter program against football. The DC shows are all male skewing show and yes that includes Supergirl. CW tried a girly show after Flash and it got heavily rejected by 75% of Flash viewers. Viewers fleeing whenever that other show comes on after Flash.
