This is so weird. They couldn't even find a proper ginger to play Archie? Just give a dude with dark hair a bad dye job and hope nobody notices? Most of the casting is weird. I don't mind using different ethnicities or whatever but Luke Perry is playing Mr. Andrews? What even is this show? Seems like it's trying to be Like Teen Wolf or Vampire Diaries when it should be more like Three's Company or Happy Days.
shareCW paid for the IP. They can do the whatever the hell they want with the show that is going to air on their network. CW doesn't cast ugly people so keep up. Male redheads are usually ugly so finding someone that looks good and can act can be a tall order especially for small network like CW.
Shows like Three Company/Happy Days will bomb on CW so that's awful idea. CW doesn't do sitcoms FYI. CW network, at least google that first.
If CW thinks redheads are ugly and sitcoms are dumb then they shouldn't have bought the rights to make a show about Archie and the Gang. They could've made a dark drama mystery show with their own original characters. What's the point of using classic, established characters if you're going to change absolutely everything about them?

I hope they just stick with Archie and his gang. We have already had our share of Sabrina. I love Sabrina, but resurrecting Archie has been enough of a stretch.
