I HAD to switch to a different program. Not even the lesbo kiss was enough to keep my interest in this pile of pap. And where the hell was Jughead?

Jughead was the narrator. You see him a couple of times and then again at the end in the diner

Yes Archie calls him Jughead and it's hinted that the two of them had some sort of falling out at some point, which is probably why Jughead isn't around as much as he should be.

Jughead will have a larger presence in the following episodes i think. The premiere was more like setup and then u see Jughead at the end

You'll see him more in the next few episodes, especially episode 4.
