Josie was a rude, ignorant bitch.

If I was him and she spoke to me like that, a guitar would be going over her head. The nerve to speak to someone who has came looking for you to ask you for your help and you belittle, insult, penalise them for being white and present yourself as a mean, selfish, narcissistic brat in 30 seconds flat. I was staring at the screen in complete confusion as to why Archie just accepted that and went his way. Maybe she'll try that attitude with Veronica and get elbow dropped. We can only hope.

Here's an idea: next time, instead of being late, just *beep* on my face-Emma Stone

I really hate that they've ruined Josie&The Pussycats AGAIN!!!I guess we'll never get a really good live action portrayal

The movie was awesome.

I agree; so underrated.

Josie was incredibly unlikeable in the pilot. I mean, to be fair, she didn't do a whole lot but not a great first impression for the character at all.

Just a Jeannie in a bottle...

His being white had nothing to do with it

I didn't hear anything about race. She was a b*tch though

Josie was my least favorite part of the episode. I didn't care for the actress or the way the character was written but hopefully both will improve throughout the season.

Well, they are suppose to be teens in high school. Young people are often moody, temperamental, and clique-ish at that stage in life. We all have been there ourselves or witnessed it first hand.

When I'm good, I'm GOOD. When I'm bad, I'm BETTER.

I'm hoping relations improve between Josie and Archie. At it stands I don't know who else she and her group would interact with. I feel like she is deliberately being written into a corner so that she comes off as too temperamental to even spend time with other characters.

She's supposed to be the strong black female who has been oppressed for 400 years by the White Male Patriarchy and she was just putting Mr. White Privilege in his place.

One more reason Trump won the election.

I hope they develop her character more throughout the season. So far, she's forgettable.

Very light spoiler:

Something happened between her and Archie over the summer. They were a couple. In the pilot, she was pretending to be a bitch to him in front of her bandmates.

reply

She seemed to be stereotyping Archie in terms of the his musical preferences by calling him "Justin Gingerlake".
