I just assumed that was what happened immediately from the opening scene. I didn't even realize that it was meant to be a mystery.

But once I realized there was a 'mystery' to be solved I now think a less obvious choice, Betty.

That's too simple to become a season long mystery.
They want you to think that so they can throw a twist at us.
