But Kiefer was 24 to me. Watching the show on DVD I actually fast forwarded the parts that had no Kiefer, but having said that I wouldn't put down this show but just think they should have started all over again with a different idea and story line. There can be no 24 without Jack. And yes, I do agree Jack's story needs to be resolved, let him walk off into the sunset, happy for once!

You're right. So, now we are led to believe Jack is leading a horrible life in Russia for all these years similar to the way it was when he was taken prisoner in China when he could actually be happy and content spending time with his family. I don't understand why they can't give him a little bit of happiness after everything he has done for the good of the United States. The writers aren't happy unless he's suffering.
shareI heard that they had even scripted the original LAD ending to involve the time jump having Jack land in LA and being reunited with Kim and his grandchildren but they CHANGED it at the last moment to that stupidass Russian ending. We were SO CLOSE to getting that ending.
Even if they could have Jack make a short appearance in Legacy and wrap up his story in that series, I'd be happy. (But wrap it up with a happy ending)
