I'm a HUGE K. Sutherland fan but his career is sinking since he left 24

Honestly his career is going down the toilet..he says he has other things to do, then why is he making trash tv shows and garbage movies??

Like i've said i'm a HUGE keifer fan but he is wrong. He should retire then or comeback to 24.

I mean look at the trash he made since he left 24:

Forsaken (2015) : Nothing special boring

Zoolander 2 (2015) : Stop wasting your time Keifer

Designated Survivor (2015) : didn't watch looks average at best, waste of time

Upcoming:

Where Is Kyra? (2017)
Looks like trash, look at the plot:
In Brooklyn, New York, Kyra (Pfeiffer) loses her job and struggles to survive on her ailing mother's income. As the weeks and months go on, her problems worsen. This leads her on a risky and enigmatic path that threatens her life.

Flatliners (2017)
Starring in a remake of his own film?? TRASH!

Is Keifer losing his mind?? Someone wake him up before its too late

I only watched the first episode but Designated Survivor has done pretty well with its ratings and is going to be renewed, so he's not going too badly. From what I read before release Forsaken was mainly just to work with his dad and a director he likes, although I thought that film was okay. Plus he has spent a lot of time touring his album, which I imagine has influenced his film choices. But yeah.... a return to 24 would be preferable.

He's hated working on 24 for years his last four seasons he clearly wanted out and couldn't be bothered making an effort ... Grow up people the guy had his full of the show and didn't want to come back let him go.

Yes, no one wants to be in the same job all their life. And Kiefer was in 24 for what? 10 years give or take? Give a man a break, you all.

I watched a few episodes of Designated Survivor. It was okay, but I wasn't really into it at the time. The ratings though for the first half of season 1 have been decent. If it can return from it's current hiatus with those ratings the series is most likely going to be renewed. And unfortunately or fortunately at the end of the day that's really the only thing that matters.

I would like to see Kiefer return to 24, but I don't think he needs to do it full time. If Legacy is able to get a second season I hope a big arc of that season involves Jack.

Kiefer Sutherland can be in anything he wants to star and act in without you criticizing him.

I liked him in the movie "POMPEII" and on the show "DESIGNATED SURVIVOR".

reply

He was also in Pompeii which was not well received.

Seems like Kiefer is trying to get away from the "Jack Bauer" persona with these other roles.

Designate Survivor had potential, but it came out in the wrong era. Releasing it around election time in a transition process just makes it seem out of place.

Kief hasn't exactly ever had a great career. A few iconic appearances in 80s films made him a pop culture presence. A few awesome appearances in 90s indie movies made him an interesting actor. And then he hit pay dirt with Jack Bauer at the height of the new golden age of television just before the streaming/binge watching boom murdered the format. Kief was pushing so hard for a 24 movie cuz he could have been the next brilliant aging action star. For whatever reason, that didn't happen. He'll never be out of work again, but the glory days are over.

Flatliners (2017) ... remake ...?
It's reportedly a sequel
rather than a remake.

reply

Ya. The "soft reboot" as they call it now. A movie engineered to make absolutely nobody happy.
