To people who are going to watch 24 legacy, how would you like it to end.

They should kill off tony and have it end with jack finding out in his Russian
.

Eric Carter should kill the terrorists, at the end with help from Tony. His wife survives. And he becomes a CTU agent at the end. My perfect ending

Sounds like a good ending. The more dead Jihadists along the way, the better!

Mid-way through the season they find out Tony Almeida is somehow involved in the plot, but have no way of tracking him down. Carter suggests they bring in someone familiar with Almeida to aid the investigation, he is told there are only two people who come to mind and one is rotting away in a Russian prison, the other is Chloe'O Brian. They bring in Chloe, Tony is eventually captured. He reveals that he was trying to work against the terrorists from within.

Carter and Tony work together to stop the attack, all the while Carter is suspicious of Tony's true allegiance, but in the end Tony's intentions are pure, he is racked with guilt over his crimes in season 7. After the threat is eliminated, Tony is to be transferred back to prison, but, not wanting to live with the guilt any longer Tony goes to take his own life, but is caught by Carter.

Impressed by the help he was able to provide, the President offers Tony a deal, he doesn't go back to prison. Instead he is to put in a special, guarded, yet comfortable holding facility and must work with CTU on a full time basis to help stop future attacks. Carter tells Tony to take the deal, he'll never be able to erase what he's done, but he'll be able to save lives. Tony accepts.

You don't think after all he's done, Tony wouldn't consider taking his own life? You think he'd rather go back to prison. In episode 22 of season 7 when they capture Tony they had this exchange.

Jack points his gun at Tony.

JACK: I have nothing left to lose. You either tell me where that canister is or so help me gold I will lay you down right here, right now.

TONY: You think I've got anything left to lose Jack. Do it.

Tony was willing to die in the finale of season 7 too, the only thing he had left was to get his revenge. He even says this much to Alan Wilson.

Tony: ... the ONLY thing that kept me alive, was this moment right here.

I know you may be thinking that there is a big difference between Tony being willing to die and taking his own life, but I feel like once his purpose is gone he has nothing left to live for. He failed to get revenge for Michelle and then sat in Prison for several year marinating in that guilt. Once he sees an opportunity to help people again he takes it, but when he's to be transferred back to Prison he doesn't see the point anymore, until he is given the deal by the President.

To be honest, I don't feel like he'll ever join the show full time. He'll either die at the end of the arc this season, or be left alive to be brought back sparingly whenever they wanna use him.

24 has to least rescue Jack properly, if at all possible, before it can end.

24: Live Another Day was pretty good, but man, was that a downer ending for Jack at the very end.
