The Raid - 24: Legacy VR spoiler

So I watched the 3 minute clip on the VR and had a theory - not sure if covered. So when the Ranger team went into the compound - they were supposed to bring back the Osama bin Laden type character (forgot name) alive. They had a visual confirmation (facial recognition) but ended up blowing him up. Ingram asked for them to get DNA samples to prove it was him. You see them swabbing up blood from a detached arm and other places. I'm thinking he is still alive and used his own blood to make it seem like he was killed - sort of like Bane did in Batman - when he made it seem like the scientist was dead. I think we will be seeing this bin Laden character later.
