It's not particularly fair to compare him with Kiefer, when he has 9 seasons behind him as Jack Bauer. So obviously Hawkins has a lot to live up to, but he's not copying Jack Bauer pace-per-pace. He's doing something different with his character and I think its great and really looking forward to where the character goes

I wouldn't want a copy-cat of Jack Bauer. But the lead actor just doesn't seem to have much screen presence. I still plan on watching, in the hopes it will improve.
shareI agree the actors need time to grow into the series. It's not bad and hopefully will get better as time goes on. I'll be watching to see what happens next.
That first episode of the original 24 just blew me away. One min. a chick is jumping out an airplanes seconds before it explodes, the next her lover is trying to blackmail assassins, not to mention all the other stuff going on. That really started on a high note.

A TV show like 24 had never been done before so they had that advantage, a novelty.
They ran out of storylines however and the storyline for Legacy is no different from the original 24. But I will still watch because a repetitive 24 is still better than most of the other crap on network television.
I think he could still be good. His first episode was just really rushed. The episode actually felt like the later season openings, which worked great, but only because we knew Jack. It was a good episode, we just don't know Eric yet. Hoping this is fixed in the next few episodes.
shareI am giving him a chance, I like that they got an unknown. I've never seen or heard of him but I am sure if I look up his profile then he's been in something I've seen.
