Random Thoughts on Rewatch
Morgan's mom says that Morgan doesn't care what people think of her which is extraordinary for a girl as girls always care. In the next sentence, she says they tried to record Morgan as much as possible but had to do it on the sly because she hated it. C'mon, get your story straight.
I've been misspelling Payton's name here as "Peyton". After a re-watch and seeing the correct spelling, it doesn't surprise me that Packers fans would try to kill Payton. Packers fans hate Payton.
Wisconsin is a state that has given us Ed Gein, Jeff Dahmer, the sickos that saw Laura Tennessen in the obituaries and thought she was hot enough to dig up for sex, the parents that locked their son in a closet so they could watch Packers games at the bar, etc, etc, etc. Wisconsin is a state of depravity, no story out of this state should surprise you.
This film was so badly cut to deliver a narrative that when they are questioning the blonde detective on the stand about Anissa, all of a sudden the heavy set dark haired uniformed cop is answering. Wow, this is blatant on rewatch.
Both girls had multiple excuses why they had to kill Payton. Because "slender" picked her, they had to save their families, it was the way to become proxies/servants, to prove "slender" was real to the doubters. Only an absolute fool could listen to this crap without seeing through the *beep* Including shrinks.
Cats feature huge in this film. From the many, many pets, to baby Morgan pretending to be a kitten on video, to the murder when Morgan says "don't worry, I'm just a kitty". In a movie trying to blame the internet for attempted murder, how do you bring up memes and cats without showing Grumpy Cat? Fail.
