Parents can't touch their kids

One comment they made shocked me. They said the parents and family aren't allowed to hug or touch their daughters. Seriously? Is that the policy? Regardless of the crime that sounds super ridiculous and inhumane to me.

reply

If that is true it's because they don't want the parents to sneek them something. They will mostly be able to get and give hugs after sentencing but it's up to the Judge. It's how the system is ran here.

What's inhumane is a twelve year old girl being stabbed repeatedly and left for dead. I don't give a damn about these two monsters.

I completely agree that they're monsters but to me thats beside the point. As I said, regardless of the crime, I can't imagine a scenario where parents or family aren't allowed to touch or hug their incarcerated family member. Its barbaric in my mind. Two wrongs, e.g. dehumanizing a family unit, don't make the situation any better.

Okay. Remember that when someone you care about is brutalized. Worrying about the criminal being treated humanely. Ugh. This is what is wrong with the world today. It's the "criminal didn't get enough hugs from his mother when he was a child" syndrome.
