it must hurt him that tyler perry kicks his ass at the box office

It really doesn't matter because both movies sucked but at least Reacher 2 has some form of redeeming value while Madea has zero.

Not really, his films always do better overseas by a large margin. If it makes as much as the first one domestically(and it is already doing better than the first) Never Go Back will be fine with the box office returns.
