Agreed, very funny episode!

It was a lot better than the promos (especially the god-awful ones that kept playing in front of Star Wars) indicated. Her jokes on the liberals were basic (Bernie is old, Hillary is Phony) but her take on Rubio and the GOP was q funny, as was the faux Jeb doc at the end.

I liked it. I think it has merit because she is an equal opportunity jokester. I can't take a comedian seriously who speaks about politics and is super biased (John Stewart, etc.). But it's nice to see a show where both parties are insulted.

Totally agree, she did a great job. Really funny, and relevant.

I just got a chance to see it. As a died in the wool Colbert Report fan boy, I have to say that I was impressed. It wasn't all hilarious, but there was some funny stuff here- especially the Bush doc. What's even more impressive is that she did it with her own writers. I checked the writer list against the Emmy winning Daily Show and Colbert Report teams, and the only common name was Jo Miller. In other words, she's managed to dig up some new people that, at first glimpse, seem pretty talented. Considering the lackluster work Colbert's writers are doing on Late Night, and Stewart's old writers are doing for Noah, the timing couldn't be any better for new blood.

If she can maintain this, I think she could be a formidable power in late night.
