Fantastic

This was another wonderful anime film. At first I thought, this wouldn't be enjoyable because of the bullying and especially of a deaf girl, and the sign language aspect with sub-titles, however it all worked.

This film is really about living. It also reflects on guilt and regret, and changing as a person. One aspect that it touched on, which one doesn't really think about, is how deaf people feel about people adapting to them. They feel guilt, and regret that they put other people through much. However, they suffer so much as well.

Shoko and Shoya played beautifully off each other, and the voice acting worked really well, even for Shoko who was deaf. The film looks beautiful, visually. Fantastic writing and dialogue.

This requires multiple viewings, because there's so much to process about this film with so many layers.

Wonderful, wonderful film.
