As a fan of the original show and the early seasons of TNG, disapointed!

It lacked that realness the original shows had.Ill be honest I really stopped watching Degassi once Tj got stabbed and none of the original TNG actors were left so I felt like this reboot was a good jump again point and...What happened? This did not feel like Degassi! The kids are all very good looking, too good looking.The way they speak feels scripted. I did not find what I always liked about Degassi, that rawness and honesty.It felt like an American teen show. If you put the first episode of TNG and compare it to the first episode of thereboot, you would think they are two completely different shows. So disapointed :( I was really looking forward stepping back in to Degassi.

It has become very Americanized over that past 10 years or so. I watched and was happy to see Stefan back, I'm guessing as the Principal at Degrassi again? Or as an advisor for the student council. However, I miss the ties to the original cast, that DTNG was so generous to give us. Even ties to DTNG with the new cast would be nice. I understand The Dot has been replaced by Lola's, so I guess no random Spinner sitings.

This season is way better than what we got the past five years... though, that's not really saying much, I guess. Haha.

Eh, try the last 2 seasons. 13 and 14 were lackluster in comparison. Seasons 10-12 were all excellent, with some of the best cast members ever to go through the school.

I feel you. I loved watching TNG and I agree, this reboot feels so flat and doesn't have nearly the same feel as TNG did. I admit I haven't seen the last few seasons of TNG but got so excited when I saw this new one show up on Netflix. I was quickly disappointed though. From the start it was clearly not in the see spirit as TNG was.

Yeah, I totally agree. It had none of the charm or believability of the early seasons of tng.
