What was the point

I agree that they didn't accomplish much but I'm glad it ended the way it did because it was much more realistic. The whole Grace must be lesbian because she doesn't dress like the average girl thing was ridiculous and in reality I have seen girls in situations like Grace and Zoe, Grace was being nice and didn't want to hurt Zoe's feelings but after they hooked up Grace was a little weirded out by the whole lesbian sex thing. I've seen many girls experiment in lesbian sex with a close friend and feel disgusted by the whole idea of it all afterwards.

However, Grace liking Zig thing was a bit ridiculous as well but they just went way over the top when they ended their storyline with Zoe hooking up with Zig while recording it. The main reason I think people are upset with the outcome is because Zoe & Grace as a pairing was being hyped ever since the end of Season 14 and everyone was waiting to see how things will go in Next Class and then all we got was "Zoe likes Grace who likes Zig who is dating Maya so Zoe hooks up with Zig who is still dating Maya who is best friends with Grace who has a crush on Zig who ended up getting dumped by Maya for hooking up with Zoe." they could have done the story better but it's not the worst and to be fair Degrassi has always sucked with lesbian storylines except with Paige & Alex back in Degrassi: TNG.
