It came out in Australia last night. What I'm confused about is that it normally is first in Canada and then goes to other parts of the world. Why have it premiere almost 3 months early in Australia?Having it online is going to kill ratings because so many people are going to watch it before the real premiere date.

Yeah usually it airs in Canada first, since it's a Canadian based show with Canadian actors. I wonder why Australia got it already.

shareI think the way they split the episodes up, basically taking the 20 episodes they initially filmed and splitting it up into 2 seasons rather than just 1, ended up causing there to be some loopholes letting Australia air season 2 before Canada, which normally has first rights to air episodes.
I wouldn't worry too much about the ratings, the majority of people who watch likely don't even know it's airing in another country right now and will just watch when it's available normally to them, and a lot of the more devoted fans who are watching it online now will still tune in to Netflix or in Canada to watch again and support the show.
The ratings will be fine. Let's not forget that not everyone is such an avid fan they would even go looking online early for it. Besides, I could probably keep the season afloat by myself, haha.
