I just really felt so bad for this girl in season 3. She's obviously pretty screwed up after the crash yet everyone acted as though she was just blowing them off for no apparent reason. Maya's friend know that she gets it in when she has tasks to complete. And her so-called friends(Grace and Jonah) notice that she's missing meetings, not answering her phone and just doing other things that are not like her and for some reason they think nothing of it and just go on like they don't notice anything. During the episode #IRegretNothing when Maya is standing outside of one of her classes staring into space(she was clearly pretty out of it) and Grace, Jonah and Zig just walked right past her like they didn't see anything. Esme even pushes her and Zig didn't even check her on that. And Zig KNOWS that she has PTSD(he even helped her get through it after Cam) and it didn't occur to him to check on her?! But the part that really irked me was the scene where everyone(Tristan doesn't count because he's been through a lot as well) was waiting to hear about Maya's status and trying to act all concerned. But where the *beep* were you all when she was clearly showing all these warning signs?!

Yeah I'm with you on a lot of this.. I mean a lot of it could be explained by the fact that many of them were in the crash, too and could be struggling but I didn't get that sense.

And what's most annoying is that in true Degrassi fashion I'm sure next season she'll be "all better" and it will be like it never happened -.-

Yeah I'm with you on a lot of this.. I mean a lot of it could be explained by the fact that many of them were in the crash, too and could be struggling but I didn't get that sense.

Good point! I actually forgot that they(Jonah, Grace, Zig and Tiny) were in the crash as well because They were the only ones who didn't suffer after effects of it. But I didn't get that sense either! Just something to think about!

Yes! I said this in another post(http://www.imdb.com/title/tt5320160/board/thread/260713158). Degrassi seems to have a problem with continuity. I hope they don't do that.

I honestly hope not because being in a relationship is the last thing she needs right now.

I can understand Grace, though, being told she only had a few years to live and needed someone to talk to, and Maya blowing her off to do artsy photos.

Yeah I completely get why Grace would be upset. She just found out she needed a lung transplant and needed some emotional support and her best friend blows her off. I really truly get that however, the moment Grace saw the types of pictures Maya was taking and that Maya was acting strangely, that should have set off some alarm bells in Grace's head that something wasn't right. Then again Grace finding out she only has a few years to live wouldn't put her in the best frame of mind so I can see how she would be so lost in her news, that she might not notice Maya's behavior.

I do feel bad for Maya. She never really dealt with Cam's suicide and couple that with the trauma of the bus accident, and she had a total breakdown. It was so sad and then to not have her friends even notice and be mad at her made me feel even worse for her.

I get that but I'm not only talking about Grace. Jonah noticed her alarming behavior and did nothing as well. He even stated that "she is clearly going through something" but still didn't think it was serious enough to check on her. Also, during the hospital scene, what was Zoe doing there?! They hadn't even had any kind of conversation since the snowball. They weren't even friends. Honestly, it actually made more sense for Esme to be there than her. And where the hell was Tiny?! He's one of her best friends.
